I must say, overall, I’m quite disappointed with the lack of correct
answers offered.

As punishment for not supplying the correct answers in a timely
fashion, you all should be carried around in a shopping bag like this
kid =).
Yes, I know this picture is cruel, but it I couldn’t stop laughing when
I saw it. And hey, if it brings a smile to your face, maybe you’ll
consider throwing in a du’a for a brother.

And finally, I saw the movie below with the Don on Friday night. It was
the best movie I had seen since Lord of War and Crash. It was amazingly
powerful and symbolic, being a perfect social commentary on present
circumstances and the possible near-future. I know some of you guys are
hardcore and don’t watch movies, but for the rest of us, I think this
is a must-see. It’s going to be a movie that will be talked about in
the months ahead, and I believe the effects of this movie are going to
be felt for a long time to come.

Some of the more memorable quotes were:

“Remember, remember, the fifth of
November, gunpowder treason and plot. I see no reason why the gunpowder
treason should ever be forgot.”

“Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. There is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof. “

“People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people.”

And of course, my personal favorite, which quite possibly might be the
most elegantly crafted soliloquy in cinematic history (aka, a fob’s
nightmare, such as Abrar Mirza, to read…heheh):

This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox
populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the
verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this
valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has
vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and
vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

“The
only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain,
for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant
and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most
verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to
meet you and you may call me V.”

  1. 1. Pahelwan Khan was so sick and tired of window washing (note the description of the weather and windows), he opened the window and jumped inside.2. (congrats to Falooda and “new kr fan” for getting this) Detective kr knew that the dead man was not Fakhruddin since there were no calluses on the ends of the fingers. A world-famous guitarist who has been playing the guitar all his life would have callused hands.3. The easiest way to keep the fish swimming is to put a predator (with its mouth wired shut) in the tank with them. This will force the fish to keep swimming and simulate closely their natural habitat. 4. The seagull’s footprints proved that the wind blew from the ocean towards the land, and not from the land (as WaqharSaab was alleging). This is because a seagull, like an airplane, will always take off INTO the win. Because of this, kr knew that Waqhar was lying about flying his kite over the ocean and quite likely the rest of the story.
